This video is about the stories and lived experiences of three incredible Nyikina women, Anne Poelina, Jeannie Wabi and Lucy Marshall, and their tireless work to protect their Country, Culture, and Law, in the increasingly neo-liberal context of rampant industrialisation.

Three Sisters, Women of High Degree, was premiered on National Indigenous Television (NITV) on October 6th and 7th 2015. The film re-ran every month on NITV for three years, and has been screened on the international festival circuit.

Families Of Fortune (2009)

This film retraces the stories and lives of Chinese families in the Tweed region of Northern New South Wales. Featured are Wing Yuen Lee, Chinese Herbalist, and his daughter Noelene Johnston, Tong's store in Murwillumbah, Le Ping Wong, from the White Olive Restaurant, and other Chinese families in the Tweed. This film was produced for Tweed Shire Council and the Migration Heritage Centre in 2009.

The Village Timber Art Trail (2007)

This film was commissioned by Tweed Shire Council, as a result of the Tweed Shire City of the Arts Program (2003-2005). It follows the artists who have created public art structures and art works for the villages of Burringbar, Chillingham, Stokers Siding, Uki, and Mooball, in the Tweed Valley region of Northern New South Wales.

Marra Dreaming, Adelaide (ICV, 2007)

In 2007 I was commissioned by Indigenous Community Volunteers (Canberra) to shoot a series of short films and National Community Service Announcements as part of their volunteer programs with Aboriginal Communities. This film was shot at the Marra Dreaming Centre in Adelaide.

In 2007 I was commissioned by Indigenous Community Volunteers in Canberra to make three short films about their volunteers working in Aboriginal Communities around Australia. This is the film we made in Parnngurr (Cotton Creek), Western Australia. 

BYPASSED: The Erosion of our Cultural and Environmental Landscapes

In 2005, the Tugun Bypass, on the Gold Coast, received Government approvals to proceed with the C4 Route Option, a move that greatly anguished environmentalists and the local Aboriginal community, with its potential to destroy ecologically-sensitive areas and a significant Aboriginal cultural landscape known as "Murraba". Representative of major developments happening throughout Australia, and New South Wales in particular, this decision showed the erosion of years and years of legislation put in place to protect our cultural heritage and environment. This film tells the stories of the local Aboriginal community and environmentalists and of their long and arduous journey to make their voices heard.

More than seventy stories were submitted. Six of them were selected to be made into short films in a project called Homegrown Filmworks.

Meet the drivers and owners of some of Australia's rarest cars: the Maybach Special, the Zephyr Special, the only remaining 4WD Miller Indy Car, and some amazing Ferraris... Watch these cars as they race around the track in time trials, in the middle of the town, and the more than 160 other cars which competed over the whole week-end. Meet Aussie racing legend Frank Gardner, and many others, as we go behind the scenes of one of the biggest events of the year in Murwillumbah. Get ready for some track action! Shot by Magali & Brian McDuffie, Paul Armstrong, and Soolaba Doyle.
